Alicia Keys Latest Nude Photos Posted To Further Promote ‘We Are Here’ Days After iHeart Performance; Nude Act Draws Skeptic Comments
After her performance at the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas to promote her "We Are Here" single, Alicia Keys is seen on Saturday in her latest photos on Instagram baring her body and baby bump. The peace sign painted on her belly completes her whole message of promoting her humanitarian cause explained in her new single.
The photo shows the naked singer with no accessories except for her braids with beads on its ends. She gazed intently on the camera showing her seriousness of her charitable campaign of the #WeAreHere movement, a group of 12 organizations that the R&B diva has supported and has received a sum of $1 million from her recently.
As reported in the Daily Mail, the list of these organizations is found in the We Are Here website. The organizations include All Out, CARE, Equal Justice Initiative, the Future Project, Girl Rising, Keep a Child Alive, Moms Rising, Oxfam, the Trevor Project, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, and War Child.
'It's time to get people's attention,' she explained. 'People won't be able to ignore this visual. We're in the same head space. We think the same things,' she said, of the injustices facing the world. 'This is bothering us, so how can we take that to the next step and do something about that, as opposed to just being angry? The 33-year old singer shared to New York Times in an interview.
Further, she has mentioned several inhumane acts as the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson and the bloody war in the Middle East that led her to ponder of her role in the universe.
A previous conversation with a friend asking "Why are you here?" has been very enlightening and she immediately thought, "Nobody has asked me that question before."
Amidst singer's humanitarian intentions, some still expressed their annoyance and skepticism towards the nude photos.
"I applaud her for giving to charity,and for wanting the charity to be known.What I don't understand is why the need to be naked in order to promote it.That is not a peace sign either."
She just wanted an excuse to pose nude and pregnant and used a charity as an excuse. Demi Moore's naked pregnant pictures were unique - now it's as tired as all those naked calendars of regular people "for charity". They've been done to death.
"Ever since Demi Moore's baby bump photo every celebrity feels the need to put their own on display. Please gosh when will this trend stop already among them. Side note: to me her son is a little cutie though."
Alicia Keys is eight months pregnant. She first announced her pregnancy on Instagram this month with husband musician Swizz Beats. She has also recently performed at the iHeart Radio Festival encouraging fans to post pictures and stories about their mission on Earth.
