Bow Wow And ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ Star Erica Mena Engaged! Happy Couple Share Photo Of Engagement Ring

She said yes! After dating for less than six months, musician Bow Wow and "Love & Hip-Hop" star Erica Mena are engaged.

And it has been a rapid romance for the couple.

When Mena appeared on the red carpet of the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday (Sept. 20), reporter Jack Thriller asked her to confirm if rapper/actor Bow Wow (aka Shad Moss) was indeed her boyfriend, as rumors have been spinning about their potential hook-up. Thriller was shocked when Mena then spilled the beans on the engagement, replying, "Uhh..he's actually my fiancé."

Later that day, Mena and Moss both shared a photo on Instagram to announce that they are engaged. In the pic, the couple holds hands, putting Mena's gorgeous round diamond engagement ring on display.

According to E! News, Bow Wow and Mena began dating nearly six months ago when the L&HH star appeared on "106 & Park," of which Bow Wow is the host. The duo even shared a steamy kiss on the show's couch.

"I love 106 & Park. And I love working with him," Mena said in a recent interview with BlogXilla. "One thing with [Bow Wow] is I've known him for so long and we always come together at work. And it's now that we've finally gotten to this mature stage, more than anything that I think that the great thing about being around him is I learn so much from him. He's been able to really capitalize on everything. But he's still such a good, regular, down guy and he's all about family. You know, that's rare to find. And he's never once judged me either so his friendship definitely means a lot to me. It's a big deal," explained the VH1 star.

Before news broke that she was engaged, Mena also opened up to BlogXilla about her break-up with ex-girlfriend Cyn Santana, who also .

"Maybe her [Cyn's] intentions were fake. That puts a lot of things into perspective. People aren't who you think they are. For me, I've never been afraid to go after what I want... I think I was too much for her. She's very young. It's very easy to influence her," said Mena.

Perhaps with this exciting new chapter in Mena's life, we'll be seeing more of her romance with Bow Wow on the upcoming season of "Love & Hip-Hop," which premieres in November.
