Mike ‘Sugar-Bear’ Thompson Will Not Be Fired From “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”

Owing to recent break up between Star Mama, June Shannon and Mike 'Sugar Bear' Thompson, there's a lot more boo boo and slightly less honey in TLC's reality TV series, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo". Nevertheless, TLC is now pushing hard to ensure that "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" doesn't fold up like "John & Kate Plus 8" did.

So despite the rather unseemly break-up, TLC will keep Sugar-Bear as part of the show. Sources close to the show told TMZ that the storyline would be "ridiculously incomplete" without including the father of the show's star. The split itself will now be an important part of the show.

Apparently, producers are not keen on exploiting the split and are yet to figure out a way to cover the breakup. One source close to the matter revealed, "To tell the truth it's good for the show.  It had hit a bit of a lull and now there are tons of story lines ... dating, single parenting, breakups."

Though it may sound a bit opportunist and cold, the network wants to ensure that the children are not "emotionally bleeding" on camera because their parents broke up as TLC watched one of its trademark shows, Jon & Kate crumble because of the animosity over the children.

Mama June will continue to remain the rock of the family and will not be portrayed as an emotional wreck, in fact, the network wants to give her an even higher profile on "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo" following her as a newly single woman.

Mama June and Sugar Bear separated when Mama June reportedly caught Sugar Bear trolling on numerous online dating sites including 'PlentyOfFish'.  His handle was on the website was Georgiafighter31054 and his profile read, "i love to hunt fish and ride 4wheelers and have a good time.  i luve muddy Boggs and love to ride in the mudd."
