Sofía Vergara Reveals How She Attracted Joe Manganiello: ‘Modern Family’ Actress Talks The Power Of Her New Fragrance
There's no doubt that Sofía Vergara, the highest paid actress on TV, is quite the bombshell.
However, when the "Modern Family" actress dished on her relationship with "True Blood" star Joe Manganiello, she revealed that it might have been her scent that won over her boyfriend's heart, instead of her beauty.
"He smelled me and he couldn't help himself," laughed Vergara in an interview with "Good Morning America." "That's all you need if you want Joe!"
Vergara is currently promoting her new fragrance, Sofía, which is now available online and in-stores.
On Monday, Vergara announced the wide-release of her perfume with a photo on Instagram.
In the GMA interview, anchor George Stephanopoulos teased the actress about her comment regarding Manganiello.
"Keep him off the streets," joked Stephanopoulos. Vergara quickly replied, "Yes!"
The actress also admitted to testing the fragrance out on the men of "Modern Family."
"I worked very hard to get the perfect combination of scents I wanted. It took me like a year of testing, trying things, annoying [Modern Family co-star] Ed O'Neill because I would show up on the set and go near him without him knowing to see if he liked it or not. He would tell me, 'Mmm, you smell delicious today.' I did it with every man I knew because I wanted men to like it, too!"
Sofía incorporates notes of Vergara's heritage. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily back in March, the actress revealed how the scene was developed.
"I have orchids and roses because those are my favorite flowers, and they're Colombian. I wanted to bring a little bit of who I am, my ethnicity, where I'm from, and I thought it was very cool to be able to get flowers from Colombia actually into the perfume," explained the actress and entrepreneur.
The perfume marks the next in a long line of products endorsed by the successful television star.
"[I'm very excited, very proud of it," Vergara told GMA.
