PS Plus Free Games: October 2014 Lineup Available On Oct 8! Sony Also Giving Free Edition Of DriveClub To PlayStation Plus Members Next Month

The free games for PlayStation Plus members next month will be downloadable on October 8!

According to GamePur.com, as confirmed by Fred Dutton, Sony will make the first batch of PS Plus free games available on October 8. Furthermore, the official announcement and the details for the PS Plus free games will most likely be released around the first day of the coming month.

Asked about the possible release of PS Plus free games in the comment section of the PlayStation Blog, the PS Europe community manager says, "At present it looks like the next batch of Plus games will go live on October 8th, so look out for the announcement on or around October 1st."

Aside from the PS Plus free games for October 2014, members can also expect the free edition of DriveClub.

Dutton shared, "Driveclub will be in addition to you regular PS Plus allocation. There's loads of content included. Do try it out - I think you'll have a great time with it, and at no additional cost to your wallet."

The racing video game for PS4 will be officially released on October 7, according to a report on Trusted Reviews.

Meanwhile, a separate post on Gamepur reported that DriveClub game director, Paul Rustchynsky revealed the list of cars available on DriveClub full edition, as well as the PS Plus Free Edition.

Responding to a tweet, Rustchynsky posted:

But before September ends, PS Plus members can still get the free games announced for this month. For the PS4 owners, they can get Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends. Meanwhile, PS3 titles PS All Stars Battle Royale and Hoard are included in the list of PS Plus free games for October 2014.

And for the PS Vita owners, TxK and Joe's Danger are currently available for free.
