Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: Desire 820 Hits Indian Market

One of the upcoming HTC phones for 2014, the midranger Desire 820 has now arrived to the Indian market.

In case you missed the launch during the IFA event in Berlin, the Android-powered smartphone will pack a 720p display, 2GB of RAM, a 10MP primary camera at the back and a 5MP front cam.

The device is tipped to rival the likes of the Nokia Lumia 830 and the Sony Xperia C3, which are both promoted as selfie-oriented smartphones.

In addition to the camera, the Desire 820 also packs a new 64-bit enabled Qualcomm chipset.

HTC has been doing good in the mobile market this year compared to its last two years in the business where it slipped from being the top Android phone maker to becoming fourth and fifth.

The Taiwanese manufacturer launched its One M8 flagship, which is an almost perfect device if not for the 4MP UltraPixel shooter in front.

While its One M8 flagship has sold well, the manufacturer has earned a lot more with its midrangers such as the Desire 610 and 816, which boast similar design to the flagship, but pack lower-end specifications.
