OutKast Reunion Tour To Close With Hometown Shows; To Include Lots Of Guest Performances

OutKast's reunion tour will reportedly feature hometown shows as it nears its end. As a culmination of the lengthy OutKast reunion tour, the Grammy Award-winning duo will perform shows in their hometown of Atlanta.

The three shows slated at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park will reportedly include performances by some of their friends.

The September 26th show will reportedly open with acts by 2 Chainz, Janelle Monae and Solange. Bun B is set to appear during the duo's main performance.

The second night will be opened by Raury, Kid Cudi and Childish Gambino. And the last night will reportedly feature B.o.B as the opening act. The final night is also set to feature performances by 8Ball & MJG, K Camp, Kilo, Bun B, Killer Mike, Gipp Goodie, Devin the Dude, and DJ Unk.

After a decade-long hiatus, the duo performed in various musical festivals in the US, including Coachella, in which they headlined the first night.

In an interview with The New York Times' Jon Caramanica in August, Andre 3000 spoke about what it was like to go back on the road with his Big Boi.

"Honestly, I never planned to go onstage again in that way," shared Andre. "But I felt like: Let me do it now 'cause these kids [in the audience], it feels good to know that they're happy. I really don't actually get anything from performing."

OutKast's reunion tour will wrap up in October but the duo still has scheduled performances in a few more festivals including Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas, Austin City Limits, Voodoo Experience in New Orleans and Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco.

Tickets for the three nights of OutKast's reunion tour in Atlanta were sold out in 24 hours when they went on sale in June. But the duo reportedly teamed up with Uber to giveaway tickets and fan packages.
