Nexus 6 Release Date Set On November 1! Find Out Its Specs and Designs And How It Differs From Its Predecessor, Nexus 5 As Well As Other Android Phones Such As Samsung S5 and HTC One!

According to an official statement released by Google earlier this year, Nexus 6 will be released on the second half of 2014.

The year is about to end and yet there hasn't been any news about the release of this 'pure' Android until a report from the International Business Times website revealed that the Nexus 6 will be released on the first day of November 2014.

In a report from expertviews.com said that a tweet from Wind Mobile Care, a Canadian phone network said that the Nexus 5 is no longer being made and that they have no more stock of the said unit.

A lot of people are curious about the difference of the Nexus 6 from its predecessor and though it hasn't been released yet, some are already comparing it to other smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One (m8).

There have been speculations that the specs of this awaited android phone were leaked. AnTuTu benchmarks said that Nexus 6 has its codename Motorola Shamu. GFXBench also revealed that Nexus 6 will run Android 5 L, it has a 5.2 inches 2560x1440 screen, a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2.9gb memory and a 24 gb storage. Its rear camera is 12mp for picture and 4K for video while its front camera has 2mp for picture and FHD 1920x1080 for video. A Snapdragon 805 processor is also included.

However, these assumptions were denied by AndroidPolice saying that Shamu is actually a codename for a new phablet by Motorola. Yet, according to other reports, Nexus 6 will be named as Nexus X and that it shows similar specs to what was leaked earlier.

If the reports are true, Nexus 6 is likely the first to carry Google's Android L update. It is also rumoured to feature Wi-Fi calling, a feature that is also available in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Nexus lovers can also expect a better battery life and a highly improved graphics.

The Information wrote a report saying, "Motorola is also getting a boost from working on an undisclosed phone-tablet prject with Google - the type of initiative, which, ironically, it could pursue as a Google subsidiary due to concerns about favouring the house-owned Android vendor over others."

The Nexus 5 arrived in the market few months before the end of 2013 and so fans are expecting that Nexus 6 will also arrived the same time Nexus 5 arrived last year.
