[PHOTOS] New Photos From The Set Of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ Revealed, Star Matthew McConaughey Cries 3 Times While Viewing Film

Landscapes of desert, water, ice, and space make for gorgeous viewing when they're captured by award winning director Christopher Nolan. The November 7th release date of his latest space epic "Interstellar" may be more than a month away but excitement for the film continues to grow as new photos from the set were released in Empire Magazine's latest issue. Nolan is notorious for keeping information about his projects as secretive as possible, but if Matthew McConaughey was moved to tears by the film, one might suspect that audiences are in for a treat when it is finally released.

Jessica Chastain, who is in quite a few upcoming films, told Yahoo, "I can tell you I saw my co-star Matthew McConaughey on Saturday. In his own words, the movie is an 'event.' He said he cried three times when he had seen it recently."

It means something when a star as big as Matthew McConaughey, who clearly has great film taste based on his last few roles, calls a film viewing an event. Today, new photos from the film in question, "Interstellar" were released as well as more teasing statements about the film from director Christopher Nolan.

The photos in question (which you can check out below) depict more images of the film's astronauts and their exploration. There's also a new photo of Jessica Chastain and Casey Affleck in a field of crops. The pair are set to play the grown up versions of McConaughey's kids. Although there's still much speculation about how they will be featured in the plot, their presence will undoubtedly be a sight to behold.

Christopher Nolan said in the interview with Empire (according to Indiewire) that "Interstellar" will expand outward in the same way that "Inception" collapses inward. If this means that the film will be as innovative and fresh as the idea was for "Inception," Christopher Nolan just might secure an Oscar next February.
