‘Pride And Prejudice And Zombies’ Movie Adds ‘Game of Thrones’ Cersei And Tywin To Cast, Will Producer Natalie Portman Make An Appearance?

One of the most famous scenes from the 2005 film version of "Pride And Prejudice" starring Keira Knightley is the scene in the field where Mr. Darcy appears at dawn and the couple finally gets together. Now picture that scene with a zombie horde for the couple to fight, and you've probably got a good picture for what the "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" film adaptation of popular parody novel will look like. Today it was announced that Lena Headey and Charles Dance from "Game of Thrones" are set to join the cast and Screen Gems has just secured U.S. distribution rights. The film also has a whole host of producers, including award winning actress Natalie Portman. Will the actress make an appearance in the upcoming zombie romance film?

"But the process of going in in the morning and getting the corsets and wigs done and walking onto sets like that really helps, and being an actor and having belief in what you do is the biggest commitment I have in my life besides being a parent," said Lena Headey in a recent interview with The Daily Beast.

It would seem that the actress is making an all new commitment to another role as she's just signed on to act in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," according to Deadline. She'll be joined by Charles Dance, who play Cersei and Lord Tywin in the critically acclaimed TV adaptation of "Game of Thrones." Their roles have yet to be revealed, but since most of the main cast has been already taken, they'll probably be two exciting supporting cast members.

The film will be directed by Burr Steers, who Screen Rant hopes will continue to follow his performance from his TV series work on shows like "Big Love" and "Weeds" as opposed to his forgettable films starring Zac Efron. In addition, Screen Gems has just secured U.S. distribution rights.

While there's a pretty long list of producers attached to the film, perhaps the most exciting producer is Natalie Portman. Since her role reprisal in "Thor: The Dark World," the actress has kept a relatively low profile. What are the chances she might make a cameo in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?" It will likely depend on how busy the actress is, since she's currently got three films in post production, including an Untitled Terrence Malick project.

Whatever the case may be, a 2015 release of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" may not be out of the question as production for the film is set to start any day now.
