"Parks and Recreation" star Chris Pratt has recently garnered a lot of attention with the summer blockbuster success of his movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy." This will be Pratt's first time hosting "SNL."

"No one cares, Chris," Kate McKinnon says at one point, interrupting his recollection of childhood memories. "Just show them your abs. ... That's why you're here."

At another point, Kate talks to someone off-camera, who seems to be suggesting for them to stand closer in the "Saturday Night Live" season 40 premiere promo video. She continues to move closer to him, until she's all up in his personal space and has her arms wrapped around his waist.

Her excitement is understandable - check out those abs!

Ariana Grande will join Pratt as musical guest for the big premiere. Sarah Silverman returns to "SNL" as host the following week - according to E! News, she served as a cast member briefly in the early 1990s. Maroon 5 will be the musical guest for Silverman. The week after that, Bill Hader returns to host. Hozier is his musical guest.

Also, a familiar new voice will do the live intro for "Saturday Night Live" starting with the season 40 premiere. Veteran performer Darrell Hammond will return to the show as announcer, replacing the late Don Pardo.

Meanwhile, McKinnon picked up an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy series and one for co-writing the song "(Do It On My) Twin Bed." You can watch it here.

"Saturday Night Live" airs this Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
