Ed Sheeran Tour In Australasia Slated; New Album In The Works?

Ed Sheeran's tour in Australasia has been slated and his scheduled performances will reportedly make him the first musician in 20 years to perform solo at an arena tour in the area.

According to Billboard, fans of the "Lego House" singer in Australia and New Zealand can expect the Ed Sheeran tour to feature nothing but his raw talent. The singer will reportedly perform with just his acoustic guitar and a loop pedal.

Fans Down Under will be more than happy to learn that the series of performances will be more affordable than what may be expected from someone as popular as the "Give Me Love" singer. Tickets will reportedly go on sale for $99.

"Ed wanted to ensure that his shows were accessible to all of his fans. It's incredibly rare these days to have all tickets at one price in arena venues but Ed wanted to make it happen," said Michael Gudinski, head of Frontier Touring - promoters of the tour.

Tickets for the March and April 2015 shows will be available for sale on October 2. Ed Sheeran's tour in Australasia will reportedly be the singer's fourth time to visit Down Under.

While the tour will not commence until next year, Sheeran keeps himself busy by performing in television shows and music festivals and creating more music.

The singer shared his progress on Twitter on September 24, perhaps hinting at a new album, saying: "1 new song written and 4 new songs recorded finished tonight, good nights work!"

According to a report from MTV, Sheeran shared that he has also been working on songs with Martin Garrix. "I did something with Martin Garrix in Kansas," he said. "I wrote some songs for myself on this tour - about four. I'm always writing, the songs are directionless at the moment, but I'm writing."

Apart from Ed Sheeran's tour, fans can also look forward to a songs he wrote for Hilary Duff and One Direction.
