Diana Krall US Tour Cancelled Due To Illness; Album Release Postponed

Diana Krall's US tour has been cancelled due to illness. The singer also postponed the release of her new album.

According to a statement by her representative, Diana Krall's US tour was cancelled due to "on-going complications brough on by a case of pneumonia."

Krall's new album "Wallflower," which was orginally slated to come out on October 21, was given a February 3, 2015 release date.

The "Wallflower World Tour," which was supposed to start in Phoenix, Arizona on November 7 and all the other succeeding perfomances had been nixed, but new shows will reportedly be announced.

"I'm deeply saddened that I will have to postpone the release of my new album 'Wallflower' and the 'Wallflower U.S Tour' until next year," said Krall in a statement. "I've been battling a sever case of pneumonia and am under doctor's orders to rest for the next few months in order to regain my strength and good health."

"Performing is both a privilege and a joy for me," she continued. "When I go out on stage I want to be able to give it everything. Taking this time to rest and recuperate will allow me to do that. It is frustrating to be so close to the record release and have to delay but I am very proud of this record and want to be able to give you all my very best when we finally present this music to you. Thank you so much for understanding."

Krall's statements were affirmed by her representative, saying: "Diana's condition has become much more chronic than first anticipated and she is unable to travel or engage in any promotional or touring activities for at least another 6 weeks to 2 months."

Diana Krall's US tour was slated in conjunction with the release of her new album "Wallflower," her first studio album since 2012's "Glad Rag Doll."
