Jeremy Lin News: 'Linsanity' Star's Team-Up With Future Hall Of Famer Steve Nash Will Play Huge Role In Lakers Season

Jeremy Lin news: The 26-year-old star is just approaching his third full NBA season, and by the year the pressure is on for him to prove his worth in the NBA. Will he be a star player? An impressive role player? An explosive and scoring sixth man? Or a superstar who can work with Kobe Bryant to carry Los Angeles to the Playoffs?

Whatever his role may be, it would surely affect the Lakers' future in this year's 2014-15 NBA season.

But if Lin wants to make a difference in this new-look Lakers, he must work flawlessly with one of the best pure point guards this league has ever seen - two-time MVP Steve Nash.

At 40 years old, the former Phoenix floor general is certainly not in shape to continue playing his level of gameplay over 30 minutes a game. However, if he is able to complement with Lin on or off the court, the two point guards could be among the most talented passing duos in the league.

The good thing about both players is that through the years, they have learned to play off the ball. In his stint with Los Angeles, Nash often plays off the ball when Kobe takes control, and that goes the same for Lin as a Rocket where he played with James Harden.

Given the on-ball and off-ball opportunities provided by Lin, Nash and Bryant, coach Byron Scott can actually interchange the three players in the point and two guard spots. Los Angeles may not have the best big men in the league who can create their shots, but with Lin, Nash and even Bryant attracting the defense, those big men will have more open looks.

If Lin and Nash click together, expect the Lakers to make a Cinderella run to the playoffs.
