Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Brand New Moto X Hits Verizon Stores Tomorrow, Should You Get It?

One of the best upcoming Motorola phones for 2014 will arrive tomorrow at Verizon stores, reports say today.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Android-powered smartphone can be bought for only $99.99 with a two-year contract.

In the report, the black version would be available for purchase from Big Red tomorrow, as well as Bamboo back cover, which would both require $99.99 on-contract. Unfortunately, the report says that the bambook edition could become more pricey in the coming days or weeks.

For Android-lovers interested in the Moto X, the 16GB version costs $99.99 on-contract while the $32GB edition will be $50 more.

In case you missed the IFA where the new Moto X (2014) has been announced, the device packs a 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM and the option for either a 16GB or 32GB of built-in memory.

The device also boasts a 13MP primary camera at the back with its lens surrounded by the uniquely-designed LED flash. In front is a 2MP shooter that should take care of selfies and video calls.

Running on the device is Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat out of the box which should be upgraded to Android L shortly. It is powered by a 2,300mAh battery.

Given the specs of this device and the close ties it still has with Google, the Motorola Moto X 2014 is certainly a must-have device for Android fans who want to get a high-end device but is limited by a small budget.

In its given spec and price ranges, the only real threat to the Moto X include Chinese brands like Huawei and Xiaomi. But if you are looking for one supported by a particular carrier, the Moto X easily is the best option even against smartphones from LG, Samsung, HTC and Sony.
