Instagram Makes Possible Time-Lapse Selfies With New App Called 'Hyperlapse'

Instagram has launched a new app, one that allows users to see capture events in speed.

According to News.Com.au, the new app is called hyperlapse which is a time-lapse of selfie or self- portrait photography.

Compression of an event that would normally take too long to be perceptible by people or humans, like a flower opening, a tide going in and out.

But, thanks to modern camera system or digital age, it is available to anybody who wants to educate theselves in how to do it. Instagram just provided its users this ability to take time-lapse of their selves in an event or process to highlight the transition like cutting one's hair, putting on make up, getting dressed.

Hyperlapse is a new word for time-lapse which can be achieved through the front-facing camera on mobile phones, according to reports.

Instagram, which was named App of the Year for 2011, according to Mashable is" a mobile photo application developed by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger." It utilizes mobile phone cameras to take photos and shared online through Twitter, Facebook and other social media platform.

The mobile app has now over 150 million users in 2013 which grew after it and was purchased by Facebook in 2012 for $1 Billion.

Aside from selfies, the other trends popularized by Instagrams are weekend hastag projects and throwback Thursdays.

Several celebrities also have an Instagram accounts like Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus.

Instagram's distinctive feature, users can apply various filters on their photos and that the shape of the photo is square like images from the Polaroid.

Time-accelerated video are now easier to made with the new app using the front facing camera.

Reports say the innovation also was a step further on the new development of camera software that allows such capture of speed minus the painstaking editing process to achieve time-lapse.
