George Clooney Amal Alamuddin Wedding In Venice, Italy This Weekend Is Highly-Anticipated

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin is set to wed on a civil ceremony on Monday in Venice, Italy as celebrities are expected to join the celebration this weekend, Philly.com reported.

Clooney who has been known to be the most eligible bachelor for a long time is not going to be a single guy for long as he is expected to walk down the aisle with human rights lawyer Alamuddin in the romantic city of Venice, Monday.

However, another ceremony is scheduled this Saturday, Internet reports have stated.

The much-anticipated wedding is also expected to draw a huge crowd of fans and CBS News reported that as preparations for the nuptials, city officials would block off the walkway to the Grand Canal to stop the crowds from congregating.

The article stated, "the city on Thursday issued an order closing walkways accessing the 16th Century Cavalli Palace for at least two hours Monday, citing the George Clooney wedding."

Reports say that there will be two ceremonies for the couple's wedding, a Saturday ceremony and Monday's civil ceremony.

US Magazine meanwhile reported that Former Rome mayor and Walter Veltroni will be performing the wedding and guests like Matt Damon will be in attendance.

The magazine also reported that the couple is already in Milan starting Thursday to prepare for the wedding, which will be happening at the 79-room Hotel Cipriani.

This will be Clooney, 53, second marriage. Clooney in 1989 was married to actress Talia Balsam but they divorced in 1993.

After his divorce, Clooney has dated a string of women , most are celebrities.

Alamuddin, 36 are a British-based lawyer but born in Lebanon. Clooney proposed to Alamuddin in April after starting dating last year.

Aside from the much talked about venue of the wedding, the couple's wardrobe for the wedding is also highly watched.

Clooney will reportedly wear Armani while his bride will be dressed in an Alexander McQueen creation.
