Miami Heat Roster: 4 Things Chris Bosh Should Not Be Thinking Coming Into Training Camp

Training camp officially begins and for the Miami Heat roster, they better get things going especially the new acquisitions to be able to adjust well to coach Erik Spoelstra's style.

However, the player who may be the most crucial part of this team is Chris Bosh.

Now playing without LeBron James for the first time in four years, the 29-year-old forward should definitely step up and fill in the huge shoes LBJ left earlier this off season.

But in order to be truly effective, Bosh needs to stop thinking these four things:

1. He is the best player in this team

While a lot of people can argue that Bosh is indeed the best player in Miami today, he should take it easy in that particular aspect. Knowing that you are good and knowing you are the best player in the team are completely different things. In order to be effective with the Heat this year, Bosh needs to involve the entire team to remain competitive.

2. He needs to do exactly the same things LeBron did

Chris Bosh is not LeBron James, and he should accept that fact. That means he should not try to do everything just like his former did during his stay in South Beach. Bosh needs to be consistent in his play inside, and even in the perimeter as well. He will open up a lot of opportunities for his teammates if he remains to be an offensive threat.

3. Wade is still the leader

As the only player in the Heat's roster with a max contract, Bosh should realize that he is this team's leader now. While he does not recognize his abilities as superior compared to others, he remains one of the decision makers when it comes to games down the stretch. Wade may still be capable of leader duties every now and then, but as he struggles with his health, Bosh should emerge as the leader throughout the season.

4. They cannot make it to the Finals this time

It is important for Chris Bosh to develop optimism at the beginning of the season. He and his teammates should set the bar higher than last year's - and that means winning the NBA title for the third time in 5 years. Without LeBron it would be pretty difficult, but with a combined effort from Wade, Bosh and the new players, they might just be able to pull out a surprise.
