Jason Derulo And Jordin Sparks Split: Too Much Pressure From Marriage Talks! 'Trumpets' Singer Afraid To Lose Money In Case Marriage Didn't Work Out?

It's official! Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo had called it quits after three years of dating. But the couple says there was no bad blood between them and they plan to stay as friends.

Hours after the news of the split broke on E!, the "Trumpets" singer opened up to KDWB-FM's Big D.

He says:

"Yeah, everything is cool. It's not a bad situation. You know, it's not one of those kinda things."

But it looks like the some people have yet to believe that they ended in good terms, with some claiming that the real reason behind the break-up was Chris' infidelity! He decided to slam the rumors and told ABC News:

“Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment. I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part. Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives."

The singer also revealed during an interview with "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" that the pressure of marriage was one of the reasons why they decided to call it quits.

“What happened … in a nutshell, there was a lot of tension in the relationship for a lot of different reasons. Every relationship has ups and downs. There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop having more good times than bad bad times, it’s time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy.”

However, it seems like Chris isn't telling us the entire story here! According to HollywoodLife.com, the real reason for the break-up was that success got to Jason's head!

"Jason keeps making hit song after hit song. He keeps making money hand over fist and that was a big strain on the relationship between the two and the main reason that he didn't marry her and the reason they broke up."

While the singer did consider spending the rest of his life with Jordin, he allegedly couldn't shake the though that if he married her and things didn't work out, she would be leaving with all his money. It didn't help that her career had reached a plateau while Jason's skyrocketed.

"If he married her and they fell out of love, he would take a huge financial hit," the source adds.

Amidst all the speculation, the "American Idol" alumni seems to be conspicuously keeping silent and looks like she's just about ready to move on!
