Sarah Jessica Parker Finds $4,700 Check On NYC Street: ‘Sex And The City’ Star Stumbles Upon Money After Signing On For RomCom ‘All Roads Lead To Rome’

The city of New York has been mighty generous to Sarah Jessica Parker over the years. But on Wednesday, the "Sex and the City" actress was thrown something rather unusual.

As the 49-year-old actress walked down a Manhattan sidewalk with a friend, she stopped to pick up what appeared to be a scrap of folded paper. The item was actually a check for $4,700.

Talk about a lucky find!

Parker, who was dressed in cute gray sweater and sweat pants, stylishly accessorized by a pair of tan booties, examined the check while she continued on her walk.

According to E! News, she and her friend appeared amused as they determined how to go about searching for the check's owner.

No word yet on what happened to the lost, and highly valuable, item.

In other SJP news, the actress just signed on to star in a romantic comedy titled "All Roads Lead to Rome."

Parker will play Maggie, an uptight New Yorker who goes on a road trip across Italy with her former lover Luca in pursuit of her rebellious teenage daughter.

According to the Wrap, the film's producer Andrea Iervolino stated that the role is ideal for Parker.

"We've been looking for a very commercial romantic comedy to add to our slate and immediately knew we found exactly what we were looking for when we read 'All Roads Lead to Rome,'" said Iervolino. "The film is a perfect vehicle for Sarah Jessica Parker - an extraordinary actress who has such an authentic connection with audiences. We're excited to put this film into production and can't wait to see Sarah bring the character of Maggie to life on the big screen."

Sounds like the universe is sending great things Parker's way.
