Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey Voice Comparison: ‘Problem’ Songstress Reveals What She Truly Feels

Comparisons are constantly being made between Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey's voice. Recently, the 21-year-old has garnered a negative reputation for allegedly being a diva. One of the accusations claim that she doesn't want to be associated with Carey.

As opposed to such rumors, the "Sam & Cat" actress says that she looks up to the "Through the Rain" singer: "Mariah has been a huge influence on me since I was a little girl."

"I've even done a cover of one of her songs. I don't think there are any negatives to being compared to one of the greatest vocalists of all time, it's honestly a great honor," she told Us Weekly.

Recently, "Fashion Police" host Giuliana Rancic shared an unpleasant red carpet encounter with the young songstress. Grande allegedly took away Rancic's spot during a group photo session. The host compared Grande with Carey.

"I just felt like it's one thing if it's Mariah, you know, I'll get on any side, I'll bend down, I'll climb a ladder, whatever it takes to get Mariah to do an interview. But when you're new on the block, when you're trying to earn your stripes, you're young, you just gotta do what you gotta do, try to get a great reputation, try to go overboard to please people," she said.

One dad also accused the pop star for her cold treatment of the fans who won MTV's meet-and-greet contest. In a blog post, Dan O'Connor, recalled how Grande treated his daughters Jen and Kelly who won the contest.

O'Connor claimed that while they never expected a special treatment from Grande, they were surprised that she only spent 15 seconds on the meet-and-greet and silently walked away.

Ariana Grande diva rumors appear to be unstoppable from coming out, that's why Big Sean's girlfriend had to address the issue on Twitter.

"Man some of these rumors that have been coming out about me lately actually have me laughing out loud. Really can't take em seriously," she wrote on Twitter two weeks ago.
