Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Split: ‘America’s Got Talent’ Host Permanently Erases Ex Wife; ‘Hero’ Singer Heads To Asia For ‘Elusive Chanteuse’ Tour

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon split looks to be permanent as the "America's Got Talent" host erased the "Mariah" tattoo on his back. The "Hero" singer, meanwhile, heads to Asia for the "Elusive Chanteuse" tour.

The 33-year-old comedian and host is hurting, literally, from the Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon split as he replaced the chanteuse's name with a massive crucifix on his back on Thursday night in LA, reported MailOnline

"While the large tattoo was a rather drastic way to remove his wife from his life and body, with such a large design Nick had little choice as it required either a painful cover-up or long term laser removal treatments," the tabloid said.

The Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon split was attributed to her being very busy, a source earlier told E! News. The comedian and host has been staying in hotels although he still visits their daughters from time to time.

"This has been going on for months. He does not have to work, but he's been throwing himself into gigs and projects," the source said.

Despite some trouble in their marriage Nick Cannon continued to accept gigs, "again, he doesn't need the money. He just prefers to be really busy," the source added.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey arrived at Makuhair Messe Arena in Tokyo on Friday, according tot eh report from Rap-Up, to kick off her "The Elusive Chanteuse Show."

She started off the evening with a remix of her hit "Fantasy" then proceeded to entertain the crowd with a list of her 20 songs, which also include new songs from her new album "Me. I am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse."

"Of course, the show wasn't complete without four wardrobe changes, wind machines, and photos of Dem Babies. Mimi also debuted her jazzy cover of Billie Holiday's "Don't Explain," one of her personal favorites," it said.
