Gerard Depardiue Latest News: Veteran Actor Reveals Shocking Life Events In Biography; Says He's A Thief And His Mother Tried To Kill Him

A biography of the French veteran actor-filmmaker and businessman Gerard Depardiue is about to get published soon with him unveiling shocking truths about his life journey before he became an actor. In the book Ça s'est fait comme ça  ("That's the Way it Was), written by Lionel Duroy, Depardiue tells it all and so much more.

Gérard Xavier Marcel Depardieu's started his fame in the 1990s when he got involved in the romantic comedy Green Card which had promoted "Depardieu' all over Britain and which lead him to achieve the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Aside from that, he is said to have at least 170 movie projects since 1967 and has been lauded for his being versatile and prolific.

As a child, the award-winning actor has been hearing rants from his mother saying that she tried to abort him using knitting needles. According to him, she would always say, 'And to think I almost killed you.'

Being a member of a poor family, he had further helped his mother in childbirth as they cannot afford to hire a midwife.

He wanders in the streets at the age of 10 and when he turned 15, he realized that he gets attracted to men. It is then he confessed of his sexual affairs with homosexuals who paid him for sex.

"I've known since I was very young that I please homosexuals... I would ask them for money," he said writes.

Further, he revealed that he is involved in unearthing dead bodies in the cemetery to steal dead people's jewelry and sell them.

When he turned 16, his acts got even more risky as he is involved in car-stealing that lead him to being imprisoned for three weeks. At this time, he had moved to Châteauroux, in central France where he also served as rent boy in which he revealed worse saying that he sometimes mug his clients.

Other highlights included in his biography include his friendship with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and the death of his son Guillaume in 2008 who died with viral pneumonia at 37.

In a review by Independent UK, the online source talks about the good and bad of Depardiue's shocking revelations.
