Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update via a custom ROM!
A new custom firmware based on Google's latest mobile operating system has been released, allowing the Samsung Galaxy S3 owners to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on their handset device.
According to the specs list posted on GSM Arena, the latest and official update made available for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. But fortunately, custom ROM developers were able to create a firmware based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update compatible with the 2012 flagship smartphone of Samsung.
Particularly, users can install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung Galaxy S3 using the CyanogenMod firmware or the CM11 M11 ROM. The firmware is available for the GT-I9300 model of the device.
According to a report on International Business Times, the new CM11 M11 custom ROM available for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 is based on Android Open Source Project or AOSP version 4.4.4 KitKat OS. The post further noted that the firmware is said to "...bring customisation options to boost device performance, new visual interface, easy access to key apps and loads of personalisation options..."

But prior to proceeding with the installation process, there are some requirements and conditions to satisfy first.
Make sure that the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 has 80 percent battery level or more before installing Android 4.4.4 KitKat update via the CM11 M11 custom ROM.
