Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Ranking The Best Slates In The Business This Time Of The Year

This year is not like last year - tablets are not that popular and there are only a number of really decent upcoming Android tablets for 2014. But if you are still looking for a thin device that can serve both as a mini laptop and enlarged smartphone at the same time, then here are some choices you can make this time of the year.

Nexus 7

In spite being a year old already, the Nexus 7 is still a capable tablet that can definitely serve its purpose inside your bag. And because it has been available for a while now, pricing has become more manageable. The Snapdragon S4 Pro is getting old, but with still 2GB of RAM, the tablet can still handle tasks seamlessly.

NVIDIA Shield

If you are fond of gaming and entertainment, then this one from chipmaker NVIDIA is a must-have. This KitKat-powered slate runs the latest Tegra K1 chip from NVIDIA, which makes it one of the most powerful slates on the market in terms of graphics performance. It is also priced cheaply so getting it would not hurt your pocket.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S

Movie fanatics should check this tablet out. Launched in June, this slate features a an Exynos Octa chipset from Samsung, a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, an 8MP primary camera and 2.1MP front cam. The device is also one of the thinnest and lightest 10-inchers in the market today so if you want both portability and power, the Tab S is a must-have.

LG G Pad 8.3 (GPE)

Like the Nexus 7, the G Pad 8.3 by LG was launched last year, but its sleek design and powerful performance is still among the best even after all the tablet announcements this year. The LG device boasts an 8.3-inch display with a Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot.
