The Flash TV Series 2014 Episode 1 Premiers To An Over-whelming Response By Audience, CW Networks Latest TV Series Receives Grand Opening Numbers Second Only To The Vampire Diaries
In line with the recent trend where movies based on popular comic books are seen generating big numbers on the Hollywood Box Office, television also witnessed the premier of the first episode of The Flash, CW networks latest offering that received a tremendous response in terms of its viewership. Grant Austin will be seen as the lead in this series. Austin was introduced by CW networks in their hugely popular comic inspired series-Arrow that has entered its third season now. Critics as well as analysts are quite confident about the success of The Flash series following the fate of its predecessor, Arrow with regards to success and popularity. People have also appreciated Grant's role in this new series.
CW Network's The Flash is not the first attempt in the history to portray the hugely popular comic series on TV. Previously, in the year 1990, John Wesley Shipp was chosen as the lead actor to portray the iconic superhero on TV with Amanda Pays and Alex Desert as his co-stars. However, unlike the recently premiered The Flash, this series was unable to survive beyond one season and had to be pulled off. John Wesley Shipp has been retained for the new series and will get a second chance to see The Flash register a strong hold on home Television. He will be seen portraying the role of Barry Allen's (The Flash's) father in the CW's network's all new version of the comic book inspired series.
The first episode opened with The Flash facing Weather Wizard, one of his first super villains in the series. Everything from the set-up to the design and the portrayal of characters impressed the audience. At the end of the episode, viewers were left with several questions including what happened to Barry's mother and when will his secret be revealed to his long-time crush. The interesting twist and turns kept the audience hooked to their seats ensuring that they tune in to the future broadcasts as well.
