Chicago Bulls News: Rose Plays Fairly Well In Pre-Season Games, But Bulls Still Winless

Chicago Bulls news: Derrick Rose may be performing fairly well, Pau Gasol has been dominating the glass and dishing assists like advertised, and Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson may be continuing to provide quality minutes while enforcing the team defense the Bulls are known for - but Chicago has not yet won a single game in the pre-season.

Certainly it isn't Rose's fault - he scored 11 points in 14 minutes of play in the first game against the Wizards while he scored 6 points in the second game with the same amount of minutes. Clearly, coach Tom Thibodeau is trying to pace him so that he doesn't over exert effort once more.

Fortunately, his teammates have been stepping up for him. Unfortunately, most of them are still not consistent.

Newly acquired Euro-league MVP Nikola Mirotic led the Bulls in the first game with 17 points, but he didn't make any baskets in Chicago's second game against the Pistons. In only 14 minutes of play, Mirotic fouled out.

Some of the more consistent contributors for the Bulls include Doug McDermott, and the pair of Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. Aaron Brooks was also his usual offensive self for Chicago, scoring in 6 points in the first game, and exploding for 18 markers during the second game.

Joakim Noah is still recuperating from his own knee injury which underwent surgery earlier this year. Hopefully, he regains the strength to once more bang bodies inside and help Gasol form one of the most formidable front courts the NBA has seen in recent years.

So what's wrong with the Bulls? Nothing. Right now, Coach Thibs is experimenting on combinations and other pairings which would help them win their first title since the Michael Jordan era.
