Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: New Xperia Z3V Announced By Verizon, Will This Be Your Next Android Phone?

There are a number of upcoming Sony phones for 2014, but if you are looking for a decent handset that will make its way to a local carrier, then you better wait for the Xperia Z3.

Dubbed under the name Xperia Z3V, the smartphone has already been announced by Verizon and should be available from ts shelves in the coming weeks.

In case you are wondering what new feature this phone brings to the table, you will be disappointed.

Aside from a slightly rounded and curvier design than the Xperia Z2, there aren't many changes in terms of specifications. The Xperia Z3V boasts the same 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 16GB of internal storage.

In case 16GB is not enough for you, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Just like the Xperia Z2 and other flagships ahead of it, the Xperia Z3 and Z3V boast the same water resistance certification.

According to the report by Phone Arena, Big Red will offer the device for only $199.99 on a two-year contract.

As the first Xperia flagship to launch in the US, the Xperia Z3 is certaily promising. Right now the device is only available for Verizon, just like other smartphones which launched in the US such as the Xperia Z1 Compact which was announced in January.

Let's just wait until we see how this Android-powered handset really works in real-life situations.
