‘Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller Lawsuit Gets Ugly, Abby Lee Dance Company Owner Reportedly Throws A Chair During Confrontation With Paige Hyland

Amidst an already existing lawsuit with Kelly Hyland, "Dance Moms" Abby Lee Miller was hit with another lawsuit today, this time directly from young dancer Paige Hyland. In addition to the emotional distress that Hyland originally filed a lawsuit for, a new detail in the complaint reveals that Miller allegedly tossed a chair during a confrontation with Paige Hyland, causing the girl to flee from the room.

"I'm really happy that I won because normally Ms. Abby doesn't give me a chance to do a solo because she doesn't think I'll win, but this time I proved her wrong," said Paige Hyland, years ago in a season two episode of "Dance Moms."

Shortly thereafter, both Paige Hyland and her mother Kelly would continue to have a difficult relationship with the Abby Lee Dance Company owner Abby Lee Miller. Earlier this year the Hyland's filed a lawsuit against Miller for a physical altercation between Kelly and Abby, and now Paige is filing a separate lawsuit for emotional damage sustained while a part of the company as well as contractual issues.

Deadline, who also has a link to the official court documents filed, highlight a few sections of interest, particularly one in which Paige Hyland claims that Abby Lee tossed a chair. The document states, "Miller even tossed a chair during a confrontation with Paige, while Kelly Hyland was not present, causing Paige to run from the room terrified as she feared she would be physically injured by Miller."

In addition to the tossing of the chair, Paige Hyland claims that during filming for "Dance Moms" she was subjected to derisive statements, and extremely long work hours. Considering that Hyland is only 13 years old, a 60 hour work week seems definitely illegal.

This secondary lawsuit comes just as the presiding judge Ruth Kwan will make decisions about certain inclusionary claims from Kelly Hyland's original lawsuit. So far no information has been reported as to whether the Hylands will extend their lawsuit to include producers of "Dance Moms" as well.
