‘Gone Girl' Star Rosamund Pike Showbiz Career Rising But Her Love Life A Failure?

David Fincher's "Gone Girl" is reported to have made tremendous success in its first week with its £4.1million sales that has further increased its popularity and has stirred the curiosity particularly on the inquiry of Rosamund's controversial love life. The 35-year old unmarried actress' opinions about having a husband were once again scrutinized by the Daily Mail as the tabloid made comparisons between the actress role in the movie and in her real life story.

Currently, the British actress is in a civil partnership with Robie Uniacke, a city businessman who is 18 years older than her, since 2009. They have a son Solo Uniacke and are expecting a second baby soon after her. Though they are not officially married, the Pride and Prejudice star has expressed her unique views of being married and having a partner in an interview.

"People have ridiculous expectations of a mate.In my grandmother's day, you wouldn't expect your husband to fulfill the same need in you as your sister, or girlfriends, or colleagues at work. You'd have different needs met by different people," she said.

Rather than agreeing to the traditional opinions of women, she said instead, "Now we want all our needs met by one person, and I don't believe that's possible. Or rather, it is, but I don't think it's universally achievable."

News sources have one again revealed Pike's tumultuous past relationships. In her Oxford days, Pike is said to have a romantic relationship with Simon Woods as both of them easily connect being students of English Literature.

However, Woods dropped their relationship as he was said to doubt his sexuality. Years later, Woods came back to rekindle his love with the Oxford girl only to break her heart the second time around.
