Duck Dynasty's John Luke Robertson Is Engaged: Proposed To Girlfriend Mary Kate McEacharn On His 18th Birthday; Is Excited To Get Married Young
Duck Dynasty's John Luke Robertson is engaged! Willie and Korie Robertson's eldest son recently proposed to his girlfriend Mary Kate (Katie) McEacharn on his 18th birthday, and was so excited that he shared the news with a picture on his Instagram. According to US Magazine, McEacharn also posted a picture flashing her bling as Robertson held up a sign reading "Future Mrs. Robertson."
Robertson divulged, "I am so excited to marry my best friend. I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us," conveying his wish that he and McEacharn will be just as happy as his parents are in their marriage.
Sadie Robertson - John Luke's foster sister - also shared a photo of the new fiancées on Instagram. In it, she stands between John Luke and Katie, and the caption reads, "She said YES @missmarymcmcmc so excited to be your sister!"
Besides making happy wishes to the newly engaged couple, Robertson's friends and family also made sure to wish him a happy birthday. Sadie Robertson shared a photo with John Luke and her boyfriend Blake Coward, writing, "hApPy BiRthDay to the John Lukey :-) I love you so much & I'm blessed with a spiritual leader as a brother. You are such a blessing to me in so many ways. And to the handsome man on the left of me thanks for sticking with me for the past 9 months. You rock. Love these 2 amazing guys," making her love for the two boys very clear.
McEacharn also made sure to wish Robertson a happy birthday before sharing the news of their engagement. She tweeted, "Happy Birthday to this hottie knew you were the one since day one JL," making her best wishes known. How sweet is that?
