Pokemon Distribution Events Update: Shiny Mega Gengar Begins In North America Alongside Pumpkaboo Before Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Release

Before the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, new distribution events have begun in North America for fans to enjoy.

Out of all the events, the latest one to begin in North America is the Shiny Mega Gengar distribution event, which will run until October 26.

According to Serebii, a serial code is now being provided at GameStop stores in the USA, which can be redeemed in Mystery Gift. If you are in Canada, you can participate in this distribution event at participating EB Game stores. It is also being distributed at GamePlanet in Mexico and Microplay in Chile.

Reportedly, this shiny Level 25 Gengar will carry a Gengarite, and will work as a tie-in with the upcoming TCG set, Phantom Forces. It will come with the moves Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave, Confuse Ray and Astonish.

Other distribution events currently happening in North America also include the Pumpkaboo online event, which will run until October 31.

According to Serebii, the Pumpkaboo will hold a Rocky Helmet, plus the moves Trick-or-Treat and Scary Face. In addition, this Super Size Pumpkaboo also can hold the Hidden Ability Insomnia, which has not been made available to Super Size Pumpkaboo or Gourgeist until now.

And once Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release, a Shiney Beldum distribution event will begin.

"As a special gift for those who purchase Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire shortly after launch, a special Shiny Beldum holding a Mega Stone will be available," says the official Pokemon website. "By raising this Beldum, you will be able to evolve it all the way into a Shiny Mega Metagross! This is your chance to get a powerful Mega-Evolved Pokémon right away and in a very rare form!"

Reportedly, this distribution event will run from November 21 until January 14.
