Jessie J On Ariana Grande: She's Not A Diva; Bang Bang Singer Opens Up About Working With Collaborators, Music And More

Jessie J and Ariana Grande have collaborated on the song "Bang Bang" and it appears the working relationship was all good as the British songstress was quick to defend the "Break Free" singer from rumors.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Jessie J talked Ariana Grande and shared the latter was misunderstood. Jessie also reportedly shared that Ariana is not a diva and that she just knows "what she wants."

The "Price Tag" singer explained, "I always say, judge a person when you meet them. I've met Ariana, and there's a very thin line between 'diva' and 'survival.' And a lot of people can't [differentiate that] - and I've had that. I've had the diva stuff. And it's when people can't cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care."

Meanwhile, Ariana isn't the only topic Jessie is passionate about. The singer also spoke about her latest album "Sweet Talker" in an interview with the New York Post.

The singer shared how she felt about making the first single off her album "Bang Bang," saying: "I'd just got home from a long flight and I was tired and emotional anyway. Nicki [Minaj] hadn't put her rap on it yet but when I played it, I cried. Even though it wasn't finished, I just knew it was going to be something special."

She also opened up about the sound of her latest studio effort and gushed about her inclination to hip-hop. "Justin Timberlake once tod me that I sing like a rapper," she said. "I love hiphop so I wanted to explore that on this album. My dad was a big De La Soul fan and I grew up listening to them so it was like coming full-circle with them."

Apart from Jessie J and Ariana Grande's "Bang Bang," more tracks about life and love will reportedly be found on the new record which will hit stores on October 20.
