What happened of Marvel's "Agents of Shield" last week? What should we look forward to for tonight's episode and the rest of the first season? Warning: spoilers ahead!

According to Fansided, "If it looks like there's an ABC crossover tonight between Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Dancing with the Stars, do not adjust your television set (TVs do still adjust, right?). Phil Coulson and Melinda May are going undercover in tonight's episode, "Face My Enemy," and that means they're going to have to bust out some of their ballroom dancing moves. Who knew they had any? Well, they're spies, right? Sometimes spies need to be able to blend in during formal occasions - somewhere, James Bond is nodding his head in agreement - so it only makes sense they'd pick up some dance lessons along the way. It'll surely make for a lighthearted moment or two in a season that has been pretty dark so far. Check out the official synopsis for "Face My Enemy": "While on a mission to learn more about the secrets of the mysterious writing, Coulson finds himself attacked by the only person he can trust: Agent Melinda May. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is trapped in an explosive situation, and it's up to Fitz to save them - but is he up to it?" Two things to comment on here: first, it's nice to know that they aren't going to drag the alien writing subplot out all season without investigating it. I don't expect them to reveal the meaning behind it right away, but I do appreciate the idea that Coulson would at least be looking into it while juggling his other responsibilities as Director. Also, any forward momentum on Fitz's story is also welcome. Much as it's been fun seeing him interact with Mac, he's got to get back to being a contributing member of the team eventually ... doesn't he?"

Care for some more spoilers?

"Tuesday night's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has Clark Gregg's Director Phil Coulson and Ming Na's Agent Melinda May going undercover -- in formal wear, no less -- to infiltrate a secure facility. "We learn a lot about their past and, and what could be their future," executive producer Jeph Loeb tells ABC News Radio at this weekend's New York Comic Con. "I'm all in," he enthuses about the episode, crediting the show's cast and crew with hitting their stride in the show's new season two. "...[F]or me, to be as integral a part of what's going on, to be that excited about what's going on...then, yeah...they must be doing something right." Ratings for the ABC show climbed last season after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier revealed S.H.I.E.L.D. had been infiltrated by the Nazi offshoot Hydra. The events of the movie flipped the script for the series, but Gregg tells us the major change was a welcome one. "All that's left of S.H.I.E.L.D. right now is Coulson, and what is a ragtag bunch of people who still know that if there isn't something like S.H.I.E.L.D. that the world is in very serious jeopardy -- that's really exciting. To be underdogs, now, to be on the run," he explains. Gregg, who played then-Agent Phil Coulson in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Avengers, was a fan of Marvel comics before becoming part of the "family," and so he was no stranger to comic conventions. However, thanks to his involvement with the character, he's something of a rock star at events like New York Comic Con," explained KMBZ.

In other news, "looks like Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr is keen to join the list of actors, from the Marvel films, who've appeared on Agents of Shield. During a Reddit AMA last week to promote his new film The Judge, Downey Jr revealed that he would be willing to appear on the Marvel TV series. Downey Jr wouldn't be the first actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to appear on the show. Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury from Avengers/ Iron Man), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill from Avengers) and Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif from Thor) have had brief cameo roles in earlier episodes. But a cameo by Tony Stark/ Iron Man, if it ever happens, would be on a different level altogether," according to the International Business Times.
