'Into The Forest' Cast Ellen Page Dons Trademark Look As She Strolls NYC; Openly Lesbian Actress Enjoys Behind The Scene Of 'Freeheld'

"Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page was garbed in her trademark look as she strolled around New York. The openly lesbian actress, meanwhile, enjoyed mingling with crew and co-stars on the set of new film, "Freeheld."

On Wednesday, "Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page was seen with her friend Kate Mara walking around New York as they went out to grab coffee in East Village.

"The 27-year-old Juno star stayed comfortable in lace up boots, baggy jeans, and an Adidas workout sweater," British tabloid MailOnline said. "Completing the openly gay actress' attire was a flatbilled cap and chunky sunglasses as she carried a knapsack over her shoulders."

Ellen Page and the lady staff were seen laughing and quite comfortable with each other in between scenes, filmed in Greenburgh.

In another scene, Ellen Page and Julianne Moore were chatting it up as they prepare for their scenes. "Freeheld" is about a lesbian cop who is fighting the system for her long-time partner get her pension after she dies from terminal cancer.

Also starring Steve Carrell, the film is based on the true accounts about Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree who fought to introduce amendments to the Domestic Partnership Act.

During her Valentine's Day announcement, "Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page admitted to have suffered for years "because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered, and my relationships suffered. And I'm standing here today with all of you on the other side of that pain."
