The Vampire Diaries Season Six Casting News: Nikki Reed Banned From The Vampire Diaries Set After Too Much PDA With Ian Somerhalder? Producers Want to Keep Nina Dobrev Happy

The Vampire Diaries season six has more drama behind the scenes than in the sanguine series. According to reports, Nina Dobrev banned Nikki Reed from visiting Ian Somerhalder on the set of The Vampire Diaries after getting disgusted with the constant PDAs.

According to the Inquisitr, Nikki Reed's constant presence on the set makes Nina Dobrev uncomfortable.

A source told the Inquisitr "Ian and Nikki's relationship is causing a lot of drama, to the point where the producers have asked Ian not to bring Nikki to set when Nina is there because they are very worried about losing her. They worry that the show would fall apart without her."

Dirty Celebrity Laundry reported that Nina banned the "Twilight" actress because she all the PDAs with Ian Somerhalder was distracting. An insider at the show said that producers were afraid they might lose Dobrev over the tension.

Nina Dobrev may be leaving The Vampire Diaries after season six.

Producers reportedly tried to keep Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder from dating as a preemptive set to slow trouble for The Vampire Diaries.

An insider told Celebrity Laundray "This is exactly why producers actually tried to forbid Nina and Ian from dating. They were worried something like this would happen. Ian and Nina tried to hide their relationship for so long because they were very strictly forbidden from that, but obviously they did go there. Exactly what they promised wouldn't happen, has happened, and it's getting in the way of their work."

Nina Dobrev will appear on the television show "The Originals" on episode 5 of their second season.

Some reports say Dobrev is tired of running into Nikki Reed on the set of "The Vampire Diaries." Julie Plec, the writer and creator of both series, told assorted media that "There was a character's name introduced a long time ago in season three in association with Klaus and Elijah and how they became vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia. So Nina Dobrev will be visiting 'The Originals' for a nice little storyling in our fifth episode which airs November 3."

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed started dating a few months ago, but source are saying that the 25-year-old actress from Bulgaria's ex is already talking about getting engaged. Nikki Reed, who is Nina's friend, has reportedly been showing up on the set of The Vampire Diaries and hanging out with Ian and Nina Dobrev, pretending to be friends but secretly cursing each other out under their breath.

In the middle of reports that Somerholder and Nikki are planning to get married soon, Celebdirtylaundry reported "Our sources say that the tension on set has already ramped up since Ian and Nikki started dating, and it only got worse as he continued bringing her to set. Granted, it was never as happy-go-lucky as it used to be after Ian and Nina broke up, but things definitely took a turn for the worse after Ian started making puppy eyes at Nikki."
