Scandal Season 4 Episode 5 Spoilers: Tony Goldwyn's Character Goes Hard On Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope; Jake's Fate Unknown

"Scandal" season 4, episode 5 spoilers reveal that Tony Goldwyn's President Fitz will try to shut off Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope, as Jake's fate hangs in the balance.

The promo clip from ABC teases "Scandal" season 4, episode 5 spoilers as Jake has been framed for murder for the death of President Fitz's son, and Tony Goldwyn's character is out for blood.

The clip shows Fitz telling Mellie the truth about their Jerry's death, "it wasn't an illness that killed our son."

In the last episode, Jake was abducted by the US government after he was accused by Agent Tom of being behind the murder of the President's son. A frantic Olivia then asks Abby (Darby Stanchfield) for answers to no avail.

"I don't take orders from you anymore," Abby tells her.

In another scene, Olivia can be seen talking to the phone with Fitz and asking him, "Do you have Jake?"

Then Fitz cut her off, "bye Olivia."

Of course, fans already know that it wasn't Jake who killed Jerry, but Olivia's father, Rowan Pope (Joe Morton).

The "Scandal" season 4, episode 5 spoilers can be revealed through the official synopsis, which reads: "Olivia and the team continue to investigate Catherine's case, but Olivia is distracted when Jake stops returning her calls. Meanwhile, Cyrus falls deeper into the rabbit hole with Michael, David realizes what it's like to finally be a winner in DC and Fitz seeks answers to Jerry's death."

Cartermatt noted that the show has finally gotten back on track which makes it more interesting.

"'Scandal' never really starts for us until Olivia and Fitz are in the same room together, and now that this has started, some of the actual fireworks can actually begin," it said.

"Scandal" Season 4, Episode 5 will air at 9 p.m. on ABC this Thursday.
