One Direction Working Well With Hollywood Premiere Director Danny DeVito In ‘Steal My Girl Video’; Teaser Aroused Lots Of Guesses

Though the official video of One Direction’s new single “Steal My Girl” is yet to be released, the teaser on Monday has already gained a lot of followers who are airing their guesses as to what really is Danny DeVito’s role in the video. A few weeks ago, the veteran director’s team-up with the boy band has been quoted as ‘weird and wonderful’ in the Daily Mail and is considered much-awaited. “It's quite an exciting video. You should expect the unexpected on this one. It’s weird and wonderful,” Director Ben Winston, who also directed the video for the band’s “Best Song Ever” and its movie “This Is Us”, said in an earlier interview with The Mirror. In the teaser, DeVito plays the role of the director uttering, “You Are Power!” to Liam Payne who possessed tremendous strength in crushing colored balls with a sledgehammer. Then, another scene is flashed with him dancing on top of a train. For Zayn Malik, he is seen struggling in the middle of two sumo wrestlers. Later on, the 69-year old director yells “Mystery!” which prompts other shots to come up including that of a person playing a hula hoop in a cliff and a shot of golden painted hands. Christina Garibaldi of MTV who has watched the video says she is running out of guess about the video’s story line. “Although One Direction have been teasing their video for “Steal My Girl,” nonstop, I still have absolutely no idea what it’s about. But I do know one thing: It looks pretty amazing so far,” she said in her article. “Mission accomplished, guys; we're sufficiently intrigued,” Billboard.com said after summing up the highlights in the teaser. One thing certain, the video will be spectacular with the presence of the “chimp, lion, sumo wrestlers and ballet dancers.” “You may have heard rumors of a chimp, lion, sumo wrestlers and ballet dancers being in the vid and we can confirm - they're all true,” the One Direction site said. The official video of Steal My Girl is said to be aired on Friday, October 24 at 4pm GMT.
