Savannah Guthrie Returning To The ‘Today Show’ Next Week! New Mom Tweets Adorable Photo Of Baby Vale During The Last Days Of Maternity Leave

Savannah Guthrie will soon be back on the "Today Show"!

In anticipation of returning to work after her maternity leave, the 42-year-old NBC morning show host posted an adorable photo on Twitter of her new baby, Vale.

"Good morning!" Guthrie tweeted, as little Vale watched her mom's co-anchors Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Natalie Morales on television. "See you in one week @Todayshow!" added the new mom.

Guthrie will reclaim her spot at the "Today Show" desk on Monday, November 3.

The morning show host and her husband Mike Feldman welcomed Vale on Aug. 13, 2014. Just last month, Savannah and her husband Mike made a visit to the "Today Show" set with Vale, and the new mom shared her feelings on stepping into motherhood for the first time.

"It's exhilarating and thrilling and terrifying sometimes, but terrifying because I love her so much," said Guthrie. " I couldn't love anything more. And I hold her life in my hands, and that is so scary sometimes."

The proud mom couldn't help but gush about her newborn.

"She is such a sweet baby," she told her co-anchors, including Matt Lauer who held the baby. "She amazes me every day."

"I feel like life just started," Gurthrie told the NBC crew just after giving birth. "I can't get over the joy that she brings - it's kind of inexpressible. Honestly I think it is beyond words."

The new mom was even spotted out and about with her daughter and a friend the Soho neighborhood of New York City on Monday. Guthrie looked healthy and energetic as she strolled with her daughter, certainly ready to take on life as a working mom.
