'Scandal' Season 4 Episode 6 Spoilers: Abby Musters Guts To Confront Tony Goldwyn's President Fitz; Mellie Cleans Up To Meet A Prominent Guest

"Scandal" season 4, episode 6 spoilers show that Abby will muster the guts to confront Tony Goldwyn's character, President Fitz, in relation to Jake, as Mellie cleans up her act to meet a prominent guest.

The preview clip released by ABC teased "Scandal" season 4, episode 6 spoilers as it shows Abby confronting Tony Goldwyn's President Fitz.

"I need to talk to you about Jake Ballard," she starts. "I ask because your knuckles are awfully bruised."

"You just thought that you'd ask the commander in chief..." Fitz says, but he was cut off by Abby who adds, "I'm not asking the commander in chief."

"I'm asking the married man who used to sleep with my friend what he has done with the man she currently is sleeping with," Abby says.

During the last episode, Jake got a beatdown from Fitz when he refused to confess to the killing of the President's son, Jerry. Of course, by now fans know that it wasn't Jake who's responsible for the gruesome crime but Olivia Pope's father, Rowan Pope.

The "Scandal" season 4, episode 6 spoilers can be gleaned from the synopsis which reads: "Olivia is summoned by a convicted assassin who claims he was wrongly accused, and Mellie becomes intrigued by a former first lady whose stories seem to be strikingly similar to her own. Meanwhile, Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House and Fitz makes a shocking move."

The episode title is "An Innocent Man," which seemingly points to Jake Ballard and his quest to defend himself from the allegation that he's a killer.

Meanwhile, the First Lady is seemingly trying to get her act together after months of burrying herself in depression.

"At the end of last week's Scandal we saw Mellie finally and literally shower off her depressed state of mind following Jerry's death," Hypable noted. "This tease about a former First Lady doesn't reassure us that Mellie has fully moved on, though she is dressing nicely again."
