‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Controversy: Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell Claims Mama June Doesn’t Believe Her, Matriarch Wants To Settle Things ‘Behind Closed’ Doors

The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" cancellation controversy is far from over as Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell continues to expose things about Mama June Shannon's alleged relationship with registered sex offender Mark McDaniel.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the now 20-year-old Cardwell says she feels betrayed by her own mother: "She has to live with it. She has brought the past back and now she can't get it away. I'm mad. I'm upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt. That's the main thing that I am - I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around."

What Cardwell cannot understand is the fact that Mama June allegedly allowed McDaniel to be near Cardwell's younger sisters - Alana(Honey Boo Boo), Lauryn (Pumpkin), and Jessica (Chubbs).

"She's smiling and giggling when he's around. You know, he's a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did? And reportedly done it to another girl? And Mama was like, 'Oh, he never done it to another girl," Cardwell added.

Mama June's eldest claims that she has been molested by McDaniel when she was just 8 years old. To this day, Cardwell thinks that Mama June still does not believe her.

Meanwhile, apart from releasing a truth video on Honey Boo Boo's Facebook fan page, Mama June likewise told Mail Online that her kids' safety would remain her "number one priority."

She likewise expressed her preference to keep matters private: "We are handling this as a family matter. We are doing it behind closed doors, that's how I am. I'm very quiet. I love my family... We're handling what happens privately."

TLC's decision to cancel all upcoming "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" full episodes remains firm. The network claims that they are extending counseling to the children.
