Savannah Guthrie Admits To Getting Botox! But Would The New Mom Get The Procedure Again?

It's no secret that many women, and men, occasionally get Botox to hide the signs of aging.

On Thursday morning's broadcast of the "Today Show," co-host Savannah Guthrie confessed that she once got the treatment. And, as per usual, she did it to fight wrinkles.

"I have done it, I did it in 2009," 42-year-old Guthrie told co-hosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Carson Daly, and Josh Elliot on Thursday. "Really, I did it, I was working here."

Guthrie showed a picture of herself posing with President Obama during an interview in October 2009.

"[I got Botox] in my forehead, that's where everyone did it," she explained. "And you know what? I remember looking back and thinking, 'I don't think that looks that good.'"

Although Guthrie admitted that she only got the treatment one time, she did not rule out the possibility of giving the cosmetic procedure another shot in the future.

"I have never done it again," confessed the "Today Show" host. "I'm not saying I wouldn't though. I would. And I mean, I'm definitely a candidate for Botox. Because of wrinkles on your forehead, they're supposed to smooth them out."

Guthrie returned to the NBC morning show on Monday after a three-month maternity leave. The new mom, who gave birth to daughter Vale in August, recently opened up about becoming a parent on her "Today Show" blog.

"I feel basically like myself, but hopefully a little bit better. Softer. More patient. Kinder. Gentler," said Guthrie on the blog.

"The best part about being on maternity leave is just having the days stretch out in front of me and I have only one thing to do, and that's to take care of this little baby," she added. "And it feels like the greatest luxury of my life. I don't think I've ever taken even two weeks off in a row my entire adult working life."

Guthrie admitted to loving motherhood and revealed that she changed as a person because of her baby girl Vale.

"It's amazing and kind of transforming to give your mind and your heart and your soul a break from the crazy, busy world and just be focused on something that's so simple and true and from the heart," she wrote. "It's just been magical."
