Jennifer Lawrence Rushed To Safety When Fans Break Through A Barrier Outside ‘Late Show With David Letterman’

Jennifer Lawrence had a scary moment at the "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York City on Wednesday night.

The "Hunger Games" actress was rushed to safety when fans waiting outside the studio surged through a barrier in an attempt to get close to the star.

Lawrence appeared unfazed, however, as bodyguards whisked her out of harms way in a matter of seconds.

According to the Daily Mail, the 24-year-old actress was eager to sign autographs for fans after her appearance on the late night CBS show since she had been booed by the crowd earlier in the evening when entering the building for not stopping to talk to them.

The signing was cut short unfortunately when the metal barrier was trampled by the overzealous devotees.

During the appearance on the "Late Show," JLaw charmed host Letterman with a hilarious story about her not-so-perfect singing abilities.

Lawrence explained that she sings in a scene in the upcoming "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1" film.

The actress confessed that she is not fond of her singing voice, however, and had hoped the producers would have dubbed it with another for the final product, which they did not.

"I still haven't heard it, but everybody's told me that it's me," she explained. "Because I was like, 'Will you guys please get Lorde to really sing it?' and they said, 'No, it's really your voice,' so I've avoided that scene."

According to the actress, her insecurity about her vocal abilities stems from some excessive encouragement from her mother as a child.

"I'm like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything, and that I could do everything. But, I can't," shared the star.

Lawrence revealed that she sang in a concert at school when she was eight but was humiliated when her voice came out sounding like "tone deaf Amy Winehouse."

Lawrence proceeded to mock herself with a comically bad version of "A Holly Jolly Christmas." Letterman jumped in to help her with the tune.

All in all, it was yet another memorable public appearance for the starlet.
