Bruce Springsteen, Cast Members of 'The Sopranos' Gather In Asbury Park To Induct James Gandolfini Into The New Jersey Hall Of Fame

Bruce Springsteen and cast members of "The Sopranos" gathered in Asbury Park to induct the late James Gandolfini into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

According to the report from North Jersey site, Bruce Springsteen and cast members of "The Sopranos" all honored the James Gandolfini in an emotional tribute.

"God bless you Jimmy," Bruce Springsteen simply said.

The members of "The Sopranos" include Vincent Pastore, Vincent Curatola, Tory Sirico and Aida Turturro.

"The Sopranos" cast Vincent Curatola said in an interview with NJ.com that Jimmy Gandolfini had no ego.

"That's a hard thing to do when you're so celebrated, but Jimmy genuinely had no ego. If you start from that point in life, you can only go up," he said.

Vincent Pastore chimed in: "He would have sent me to pick it up and he would be sitting at the Wonder Bar across the street hanging out. Jimmy didn't like the limelight. He was an actor. He believed in the camera and doing the work."

"Jimmy should be remembered for his work, for his love of his family and for his compulsion to let people know how great New Jersey is. It was beyond perfect that he played a mob boss from New Jersey," Pastore added.

Bruce Springsteen and cast members of "The Sopranos" also watched as the other inductees, Brian Williams and Gov. James Florio, were inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

The other 2014 inductees Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks; chef Alice Waters of The Shirelles; Howard Katz, SVP for broadcasting and media operations for the National Football League.

"Historical inductees are jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie, writer Dorothy Parker, suffragette Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and 19th century labor leader Peter J. McGuire,"NJ.com said. "Maud Dahme, a Holocaust survivor and longtime Holocaust educator, is being honored as an 'unsung hero.'"
