Jaden And Willow Smith On Time Not Being Real, School Being Overrated, And Doing ‘Olympic Level Things’ By Age 20

Jaden and Willow Smith are exceptionally unique teenagers.

The children of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith spoke to T Magazine and discussed topics ranging from the concept of Time to whether or not children should go to school. Like the young stars themselves, the interview was rather unexpected.

When Willow was asked about her experience of time, the 14-year-old had quite an interesting response.

"I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that's how I know it doesn't exist," explained Willow.

16-year-old Jayden then chimed in on the subject, saying, "It's proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It's relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year. And if you are unaware, your whole childhood, your whole life can pass by in six seconds. But it's also such a thing that you can get lost in."

"Because living," Willow added.

"Right, because you have to live," affirmed Jayden. "There's a theoretical physicist inside all of our minds, and you can talk and talk, but it's living."

Well that was intense.

The siblings also stopped going to traditional school. Willow claims the institution made her depressed, while Jaden doesn't believe school truly educates young people.

"Here's the deal," said Jaden. "School is not authentic because it ends. It's not true, it's not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to."

Willow added, "Forever, 'til the day that we're in out bed."

Jaden elaborated on the subject, also touching on what he believes to be the useless nature of Driver's Education.

"Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty...You never learn anything in school," said Jaden. "Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver's ed? What's up? I still haven't been to driver's ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can't see how driver's ed is really helping them out."

"I went to school for one year," said Willow. "It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, 'Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.' But it was the worst experience because I was depressed."

The brother and sister pair also have high expectations of the future and are not afraid to pursue their dreams.

"I have a goal to be just the most craziest person of all time. And when I say craziest, I mean, like, I want to do like Olympic-level things. I want to be the most durable person on the planet," Jaden told the magazine.

Willow added, "I think by the time we're 30 or 20, we're going to be climbing as many mountains as we can possibly climb."
