Taylor Swift Hates Having Chic And Clingy Friends! ‘Blank Space’ Lyrics Songstress Considers Friendship With Lorde And Lena Dunham ‘Most Important’

Lorde recently defended her pal Taylor Swift from Diplo's body-shaming. For such reason, it is no surprising why the "Blank Space" lyrics songstress appreciates her friendship with Lorde whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor.

In a recent interview, the 24-year-old hit maker acknowledged not only Lorde but also "Girls" writer, Lena Dunham: "They are the most important things to me right now. Ella and Lena both represent the type of woman I want to be. Ella and I might be in the same job but we don't see each other as anything but two female friends."

When asked about the characteristics she looks for a girlfriend, she said: "The type of girls I hang out with are strong and know their own mind. But we don't see each other that often as we work so hard. But when we get together it's worth the wait."

The "Blank Space" lyrics singer also recalled one point in her life when her friends asked her to tone down her partying habits.

"My friends have asked am I partying too much and suggested I party less. There was a point where I really wanted to stop stories being written about me going out, so I stopped going out," she told Hello magazine.

As opposed to what others might think, the "Shake It Off" singer does not screen friends based on their wealth or popularity. She describes her friends as the "kind of people that have their own lives."

Last month, she told ASOS that unlike other celebrities, she never surround herself with "chic cling-ons" who do nothing but give praises even if they're insincere.

The "Bad Blood" singer says that she welcomes criticisms from people close to her: "If it's somebody that I respect, then I really do take it into account because 'haters gonna hate' only applies to people who are simply criticising you because their life sucks."
