Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Dispel Divorce As They Get Touchy At Charity Event; 'Alias' Actress, 'Gone Girl' Star Aiming To Raise Well-rounded Children

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been hounded by divorce rumors but they have been going the rounds as a couple, the latest of which was at the charity event on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, the couple said in an interview that they want to make an example for their children to emulate.

The couple graced the red carpet event for the Save the Children Illumination Gala at Plaza Hotel in New York. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner deflected divorce rumors yet again as they even color-coordinated their clothes-she wore a black Calvin Klein dress, and he in a dark suit.

During the same event, the organization gave Ben Affleck with the Global Child Advocate award for his contribution to the children.

Garner told Associated Press during the event: "He works on Eastern Congo Initiative, and I work on the U.S. programs for Save the Children, and within that, I really work on getting kids started on the right foot from birth to 5, helping families get their kids up and ready for school and healthy,"

"We don't scatter our energy around," she added.

Speaking of children, Jennifer Garner said that they are trying to raise them correctly and not be blinded by the glare of Hollywood.

"I want my girls to love math. I want them to think that being a scientist is the coolest possible job on the planet" she said, according to In Style magazine. "I want them to not be afraid to lean towards their femininity, to love carrying a baby doll around, to know how to bake and to be able to kick a guy's ass! That's why they've been in karate since they were little."

The couple has displayed a lot of PDA during the event that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner staved off the divorce rumors, for now at least.
