Freddie Prinze Jr Recovering From Spinal Surgery: 'Scooby Doo' Actor Says He's Learning To Walk Again; Jokes That He Has Become 'Robo-Bro' Since His Operation [PHOTO]

Freddie Prinze Jr. is learning to walk again after having recently undergone spinal surgery to treat "disc problems." According to People Magazine, the "Scooby Doo" actor posted a series of before-and-after photos on Twitter showing off the surgical scar on his neck, and suggested playful nicknames for himself like "Robo-Bro" and the "Iron Android."

In the days prior to his surgery, Prinze was quite busy promoting his new movie "Star Wars Rebels," where he voices the character Kanan. During this time, there was no hint of him having spinal problems at all. However, on November 20, the 38-year-old actor shared the news of his surgery on his Twitter, stating, "Spine surgery this morning but now ur homie is ... Robo-Bro!"

Obviously, he is taking his surgery in stride. Just this past Wednesday, he posted a photo of himself in a neck brace captioned, "#KeepItPlayful Learnin to walk again is like learning jiu-jitsu - 1 technique at a time." He also posted another photo of himself meditating, captioned, "#Graciejiujitsu Mental training. Visualize your technique. Then when you're healthy, you don't have to think anymore."

Prinze, who is married to Sarah Michelle Gellar, has two children, Charlotte, 5, and son Rocky, who is 2 years old. Gellar has yet to comment on her husband's surgery, but Prinze seems to be doing that fairly well on his own! On Thanksgiving, he even made sure to thank his fans for all their support. He tweeted, "Just sending ya'll some love today. Keep pushing people forward. Dont hold em back! Only way we're gonna make it!"

Most recently, on November 28 he explained to followers that his spine "tapped out," and he is now on pain-killers. No other information has been provided at this time, but given Prinze's positive attitude it seems he will continue to recuperate just fine.
