Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About Motherhood and Baby Girl Rose! Says Her Daughter’s Scent Makes Her ‘Euphoric’

Scarlett Johansson has been a mom for a few months now. And the star has just opened up about how welcoming her daughter Rose Dorothy with husband Romain Dauriac has changed her life so far.

In an interview with German magazine Gala (translated by E! News), the 30-year-old actress reportedly revealed that she finds motherhood "exhausting" but in "a wonderful way."

According to the magazine, Johansson explained that she never knew how much she enjoyed sleeping through the night until she had her baby girl. But to make up for those late-night sleep interruptions, the star is loving little Rose's new baby scent, a smell she said makes her feel "euphoric."

"I still lack experience. Right now I'm just trying to manage," she said. "You have to first, how should I put it, learn the ropes."

Johansson gave birth to Rose, her first child, in September. She and Dauriac, who were engaged at the time, recently revealed that they tied the knot in a quiet ceremony in Montana on Oct. 1.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal earlier this year, Johansson expressed her desire to continue her acting career and have a solid family life.

"There must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theater. I want to be able to have it all," she said. "I know that with that there will be some sacrifices."

Johansson hopes to keep her daughter out of the public eye. She and Dauriac are supporters of the No Kids Policy, which protects children of public figures from unwanted media exposure.
