Aaron Carter Continues Obsession With Ex Hilary Duff? Posts Instagram Photo Of Himself Watching ‘Lizzie McGuire’

Aaron Carter just can't seem to let go of his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff.

The 26-year-old musician posted a photo on Intagram this week of him watching an episode of the former Disney Channel show "Lizzie McGuire" that starred his former ladylove Duff as the title character. Carter claimed that it was the first time he had seen the episode, in which he appeared and performed.

"'Merry Christmas, Lizzie McGuire.' #IWantCandy #AaronCarter #Flashback I never actually watched this before," Carter captioned the photo, referring to the episode that originally aired in 2001.

This is not the first time Carter has made a reference on social media to Hilary Duff, who he dated on-and-off between late 2000 and 2003.

"Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me...," wrote Carter on Twitter earlier this year in March, reflecting on his former relationship with Duff, who is currently married with a two-year-old son named Luca.

"I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think," added Carter.

The singer may have thought he had a chance at winning back his former flame, considering Duff had separated from her NHL star husband Mike Comrie at the time. However, it now appears Duff and Comrie are trying to work through their marital issues as they have been spotted holding hands and attending events together in recent months.

During an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," Duff was asked what she thought about Carter's recent declaration of love.

"Andy! I'm going to hurt you right now," Duff joked , talking to the show's host Andy Cohen. "Ugh! I don't know. I don't know what to say about it! It was so many years ago. I literally haven't seen him in... so, it's uncomfortable."

When Cohen commented, "He's just feeling you on Twitter, publicly," Duff responded, "it's nice to be felt."

The popstar and mom was also asked by another guest on the show, Giada De Laurentiis if she and Carter had dated. Duff quickly answered, "Ohhhh, yes, yes. When I was 13... He was very sweet. When I was 13."

Sounds like Carter's got some moving on to do. Seriously though.
